A 16-year-old male has been arrested and charged in the shooting of three people in Cleveland on Wednesday night.
The teenager was charged with attempted second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
According to the Cleveland Police Department, officers responded to a shooting at 3495 Westside Drive N.W. at 7:40 p.m.
“Three individuals were transported to a medical facility for treatment for injuries from gunshots,” a CPD Facebook post stated overnight. “Their conditions are still unknown.”
The shooting is the second teenager-committed major crime in Cleveland this week: A 17-year-old male was arrested on Tuesday and charged with a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred on Sunday on the Lee University campus. That suspect was charged with aggravated rape.
The Cleveland Daily Banner will report additional information on both cases as it becomes available.
