TROUSDALE SCHOOL students pose with Norma Schrimpsher from Betty’s Quilt Shop and a personalized Trousdale School quilt. Betty’s Quilt Shop took student drawings and created the quilt as a gift to the school. The students toured the shop and learned about quilting as part of a unit on textiles and fabric art. This unit was sponsored by an Arts in Education Grant from the Allied Arts Council of Cleveland and Bradley County. As part of the unit, students learned various methods of fabric making and textile design with several visiting artists.
