Vicki Lee Hamilton


Vicki Lee Hamilton, 67, a resident of Birchwood, went to her heavenly home on Saturday night, Sept. 1, 2018, surrounded by her family.

She was born on Oct. 16, 1950, to Jesse and Geneva (Brewer) Rich.

She was a member of the Birchwood Church of God. She worked for Pathway Press for 28 years. She will be most remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Rich; and her daughter, Stephanie Johnson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Kelly D. Hamilton; her mother, Geneva Brewer; seven children and their spouses: Andy Poole (Donna),  Neil Hamilton (Laura), Sonya Jackson (Kevin), Troy Hamilton (Angie), Chris Poole, Matthew Hamilton (Brittney), and Cody Casteel (Mandy); 18 grandchildren and their spouses; six great-grandchildren; and aunts, an uncle, numerous other extended family members, church family and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends on this evening, Sept. 5, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. in the parlor of Companion Funeral Home’s Cleveland chapel.

A Celebration of Her Life is planned for Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Birchwood Church of God, located at 5602 Bunker Hill Road in Birchwood, with Pastor Steve Miller officiating. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 noon until the 1: p.m. service time at the church.

Interment will follow at the McInturff Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers and plants, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice.
