Victor Cecil Pirkle-Weston, 88, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018.
He was born on May 5, 1929. He served in the U.S. Navy Band during the Korean War. He was musically talented and played jazz on the piano and the trombone. Victor worked as a hairstylist in Michigan and California, and worked security in Las Vegas before returning home to Cleveland.
Victor was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Naina Powel Pirkle of Michigan, and second wife, Carmelita Kurkoski Weston of Las Vegas; parents, Thomas Cecil Pirkle and Minnie Avo N. Davis Pirkle; sister, Patricia Mae Pirkle Bunting (Harvey) of Lucerne, Calif.; stepmother, Mary Frances Black Mason Pirkle of Cleveland; and stepbrother, Vernon Cecil Mason, of Rossville, Ga.
Survivors include stepbrothers and sisters: Mildred Lennis Mason Daniel of Cleveland, Donald Lawson Pirkle of Knoxville, Sylvia Marlene Pirkle Montalbano of Austell, Ga., and Melvin Douglas Pirkle of Cleveland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
