Viktor Tkachenko, 68, of Ooltewah, passed away Saturday morning, July 22, 2017, in a Chattanooga hospital.
He was the son of the late Kristina Romashuk Tkachenko and Nikita Tkachenko. He drove a truck or a bus most of his life and was a member of the Slavic Church in Ooltewah.
Survivors include his wife, Nadezhda Tkachenko of Ooltewah; his son, Andrey Tkachenko, and his wife, Luvena, of Chattanooga; his granddaughter, Julia Tkachenko; his grandson, Artem Tkachenko; and his brothers: Alex Tkachenko and his wife, Alla, of Seattle, Wash., and Evgeniy Tkachenko of Russia.
The Remembrance of Life service will be conducted Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 10 a.m. from the Slavic Church in Ooltewah with Pastor Aleksandr Lyashevskiy officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery in McDonald.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Slavic Church.
