Cleveland golfer David Watts finished the Tennessee State Amateur Golf Championship Friday with a 10th-place finish. Watts was one of more than 150 of the best amateur golfers in Tennessee looking for the state title at Belle Meade Country Club in Nashville over the last four days. Watts finished with a 287, 1-under par for the four rounds. John Swoboda, of Mount Juliet, won the tournament with a 6-under par 282. Watts was tied for first place after eight holes Friday before a string of four bogeys on holes 9,10,11 and 12 derailed his hopes for a state championship.
