Willis Hankins

Willis Franklin Hankins Jr., 76,of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday Aug. 7, 2019, in a Chattanooga hospital. 

He was the son of the late Willis Sr. and Lillian Davis Hankins. He was  preceded in death by his brother, David Hankins.

He retired from McKee Bakery with over 15 years in the IT department. He trained search and rescue dogs to search for missing persons. He loved spending time in the outdoors, hiking, biking and gardening.

He was a faithful member of Cohutta Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cohutta, Ga.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Sharon Hankins; his son, Willis “Bud” Hankins III and his wife, Jodi “Princess"; his daughter, Lisa Haddad; grandchildren: Courtney and Daniel Halstead, and Emily and Fletcher Haddad; his sisters: Barb Young and her husband, Ron, and Betty Hankins; along with several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, at 3 p.m. at Cohutta Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Jose Nieves officiating.
