The final statistics were well scattered as nine different Lady Flames posted kills. Hudson’s club will spring right back into action on Tuesday when they host Trevecca Nazarene in a 6 p.m. start, before traveling to Georgetown, Ky. next weekend for key matches against Taylor, Olivet Nazarene, Walsh University and Campbellsville.
Senior Kayla Carlisle helped the Lady Flames win the battle at the net by coming away with 10 kills and a pair of blocks. Next came Val Caboclo with eight slams and a block.
Junior Stephanie Todd had another solid all-around performance with six kills, one ace four digs and a block.
Three different Lady Flames had five kills including Rachael Cunningham, Arlene Ferreira and Haley Cuffman. Cunningham and Ferreira also had a pair of blocks. Irene Ojukwu stood out with a team-leading three blocks and three kills.
Christa Hutchison was also a standout with four kills, two aces and six digs.
Kelsey Leffew was the leading assist getter with 20 to go along with her four digs. Gretchen Higdon was right behind with 18 assists, one ace and one dig.
For the losing Brewton-Parker team, Jessica Hill had 10 kills. Desiree Kendrick added 13 digs, while Bobbi Boyer totaled 21 assists.
