The Ocoee Middle School eighth-grade boys basketball team traveled to Rhea County Thursday night to take on the Bledsoe Warriors in the preseason tournament. Bledsoe held the lead throughout the game despite a good effort by the Colts. Ocoee would fell short by four points taking a loss 43-39.
Elijah Haynie lead the Colts on the offensive side with 12 points. Daniel Clark contributed 10 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Alex White led on the boards with eight rebounds and finished with five points. Sean Conway and Luke Rymer would tossed in six points and grabbed three rebounds apiece.
Helping out on the boards was Hagan Franklin and Logan Scoggins with two rebounds apiece. Tyler Kellar and Haynie finished the night with one rebound each.
The Colts will continued play in the tournament Saturday, taking on Dayton City.
