The Cleveland Shrine Club will conduct a free screening clinic for children with orthopedic or burn problems. Youths up to age 18 are invited to the clinic, which will be conducted Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon at 3215 Headrick Lane S.E., off Bates Pike in the Bates Point subdivision.

The Cherokee Hiking Club will hold is monthly meeting Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Leon and Pat Bates. Please bring a covered dish. A short business meeting will follow dinner. Call Leon Bates at 423-338-4092 for directions.
