Cason Conn with TriCon, Inc., stood before the Bradley County School Board Thursday to report on the construction project’s progress.
“Right now we’re slightly ahead of schedule. The building is really coming up nicely. The brick is nearly complete. We should be finished with that in about two weeks. Masonry is about 90-percent complete right now and we’re about 50-percent under roof, which is good because of winter approaching,” said Conn.
Conn estimated construction crews will complete the building’s roof and brickwork, and install all windows prior to the Christmas holiday.
Bids for the Fine Arts facility theater sound and lighting have been received and will be reported at the next scheduled county school board meeting Dec. 9.
The project remains on budget, according to Conn.

The Bradley Central High School Future Farmer’s of America (FFA) was recognized for receiving the “Gold Emblem” status with the national organization for 43 consecutive years.
“This is just an outstanding accomplishment. Bradley Central High School is the only high school in the nation right now to ever receive this status and these students should be commended for their efforts,” said Bradley County Schools Director Johnny McDaniel.
A joint session between the Bradley County School Board and Bradley County Commission is scheduled Dec. 2, at Park View Elementary.
