The Holidays at Five Points-Silent Auction will be Nov. 27 from 7 to 10 p.m. This community-wide holiday event will feature a silent auction and heavy hors d’oeuvres. The cost to attend is $25 per person and tickets can be purchased at the Museum Center. All money raised from Holidays at Five Points will benefit the Museum Center at Five Points exhibitions and education programs. Museum Center at Five Points is hosting “Home for the Holidays: Turn-of-the-Century Entertaining and the Chastain Glass Collection” from Nov. 20 through Jan. 8. The exhibit will highlight selections from the more than 1,200 pieces of late 19th to early 20th century American pattern glass donated by the Chastain family of Cleveland to the Museum Center in 2006. The Museum Center at Five Points is hosting Tinsel Friday, a free, fun-filled day of family activities Nov. 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. as a festive alternative to Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. This event is planned for families who want to come to the museum for some quiet time to make holiday crafts, have photos taken with Santa before the giant Christmas tree and shop in the Museum Store for unique gifts without the crowds of the shopping mall.
