She was preceded in death by her parents: Roxie Hall Strickland and James L. Strickland; her husband, Bill Roe; sisters: Charlene Richardson and Beatrice Green; and brother, J.R. Strickland.
Survivors include three daughters: Faye Howard and her husband, Kenneth, of Cleveland, Joyce Gannaway and her husband, Johnny, of Georgetown and Brenda Burton and her husband, Wayne, also of Georgetown; two sons: Ronnie Roe of Cleveland and Billy Roe of Madisonville; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six sisters: Ethel Mikel of Spring City, Jenette Davis of Cleveland, Opal Casteel of Athens, Nina Cartwright of Cleveland, Francis White of Benton and Annie Steaton of Riceville; one brother, Taylor Strickland of Winder, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life service will be Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Beecher White and Ronnie Kesley officiating.
Interment will follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Tony Cain, Jeremy Sullivan, Frank Hicks, Jason Gannaway, Joe Gannaway, Scotty Burton, Jody Roe and Kipp Richardson serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Stamey, John Gannaway and Austin Cain.
The family will receive friends after noon today at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes, which is in charge of arrangements.
