David Anthony Capps, 27, died Thursday evening, at his home in St. Cloud, Fla.

He was the youth pastor at City of Life Church in Kissimmee, Fla., where he had served as a member of the church’s staff for the past 11 years.

He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on January 29, 1983. He was a graduate of Heartland Preparatory School (now City of Life Christian Academy) in Kissimmee and he attended Heritage University and Seminary in Kissimmee and Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn.

A skilled craftsman at video technology, he was a major contributor to the popular Blink series of dramas presented by City of Life Church. He also was a accomplished musician and songwriter, as well as a popular preacher and teacher who traveled throughout the United States sharing his unique insight into God’s Word. Over the past two years, David ministered to thousands of people in multiple regions of the country, focusing his message of hope and destiny upon the young people of our nation.

He precedes his family and hundreds of friends and coworkers to heaven and is waiting for them there so he can join with them and the thousands of people he has impacted in a tremendous celebration of God’s love. And throughout eternity, he will remain immensely proud of his lovely wife, Sheena, and his beautiful 18-month-old daughter, Sydney.

A celebration honoring the completion of David’s earthly work was be conducted at City of Life Church Sunday afternoon. The church is located at 2874 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee.

Prior to this formal celebration, the family welcomed friends and guests during a special viewing at Osceola Memory Gardens. Osceola Memory Gardens is located at 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road in Kissimmee.
