Helen Johnson, 51, of Athens, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at the family residence.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Eugene Arp; her sister, Nancy Arp; and her brother, Donnie Arp.

She was employed at Pen-Gulf Inc. at Olin Corp. and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in McMinn County.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny E. Johnson of Athens; her children: Leslie Jones, Vickie Johnson, Anna Gibson and Christopher Johnson, all of Athens, and Rose Keith of Benton; 16 grandchildren; mother, Annie Arp of Charleston; sister, Kathy Arp of Charleston; brothers: Keith Arp of Englewood, Jerry Arp of Louisiana, Gerald Arp of Charleston, Russell Arp of Cleveland and Dennis Arp of Charleston; mother-in law, Ida Womac; sisters-in-law: Grace Bledsoe and Christine Givens, all of Calhoun, Tenn.; brothers-in-law: James Alfred Johnson, of Calhoun and Charles David Johnson of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life service will be conducted Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at 11 a.m. from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Joe Davis officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Kenny Bridges, Jeff Rogers, Dave Dorman, Tyrone Calfee, Ray West, Tyler Arp, Steve Adams and Jeremy Arp serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at thefuneral home.
