The Polk County Retired Teachers Association will hold its annual Christmas luncheon on Thursday at noon at the First Baptist Church at Benton. The auction will follow around 1 p.m. All proceeds from the auction go toward the group’s scholarship fund which helps two deserving seniors continue their education — one each from Polk County and Copper Basin high schools.

All members are encouraged to be present and bring an item for the auction. They are asked also to bring an item to be taken to the Veterans Home. Suggested items include warm socks, lap robe, fleece sweat pants and shirts and personal grooming items.

Anyone from the community is welcome to attend the auction.

Monetary donations are greatly appreciated and may be sent to PCRTA, P. O. 636, Benton, TN 37307.
