She was a member of Restoration Fellowship and a charter member of the church since 1959.
She enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers and watching hummingbirds.
She was the daughter of the late Henry Hester and Carrie Belle Hester and was also preceded in death by her first husband, R.L. Simons; her second husband, Clyde C. Wilson; and son, Robert Wendell Simons.
She is survived by her children: Joe W. Simons of Boaz, Ala., Sandra E. Sutton of Cleveland, and Kenneth T. Simons of Cleveland; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Ernestine Fulford of Gray, Ga.; and brother, Troy Hester of Belton, S.C.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at the Restoration Fellowship with Dr. John Looper officiating. Interment will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and also from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Restoration Fellowship prior to the service.
