She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth Hicks Jenkins and James Jenkins. She was of the Baptist faith and worked for Jackson’s Manufacturing.
She was survived by her husband of 20 years, David Clay William of Decatur; daughters: Tracy Hanson and her husband, John, of LaFayette, Ga., and Deborah Holmes of Decatur; sons: Melvin Holmes and his wife, Rachel, of Ten Mile and Michael Williams and his wife, Misty, of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Sheila Sharp and her husband, Jimmy, of Cleveland; brother, Ricky Jenkins and his wife, Debbie, of Harrison; sisters-in-law: Linda Braden and her husband, Dave, and Wanda Gadd and her husband, Bill; brothers-in-law: Aaron Williams and his wife, Kim, and Robert Williams and his wife, Diane; mother-in-law: Emma Williams of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life services were held today, Dec. 21, 2010, from the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Mike Rymer officiating. Interment followed in the Johnston Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
