TRYOUT TUNE-UP

The first Tryout Tune-Up will be held in January at Bradley Central High School for ages 5-15. The Tune-Up will be held Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 2 until 5 p.m. The sessions will focus on basic baseball fundamentals. Each player will get work in hitting, throwing, infield play, outfield play, base running, and pitching. The Tune-Up will be directed by former Lake Forest baseball coach Robbie Winters. Local coaches and players will run stations. Each three-hour session will cost $25 with a special rate of $80 for attending all four days. For more information, contact Coach Winters at 473-9645.

WV HITTING/ PITCHING CAMP

The Walker Valley Hitting and Pitching Camp will be held Jan. 16, 23 and 30, and Feb. 6 and 13. Instruction will take place at Walker Valley High School’s hitting facility. Registration deadline is set for 2:30 p.m. Jan. 9. The cost for participants is $100 for one camp, or $150 for two. Registration will also include a free T-shirt and an instructional DVD. Hitting session times will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 and 6 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. Pitching sessions are scheduled from 3 p.m. to 4:15 and 4:30 p.m. to 5:45.
