The theft was believed to have occurred sometime during the past month.
According to a report filed by deputy Doug Boucher of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, Clarence Wright said someone broke into an outbuilding at his home and took a 1995 Polaris and a Suzuki ATV as well as several long guns and tools.
The loss was estimated at nearly $3,500.
The case was turned over to investigator Rob Wilson for follow-up.
n Detectives are looking for a suspect involved in a vandalism at a Peach Orchard Hill Road residence.
On Wednesday, deputies responded to the home of Chester Wooten after he discovered someone had shot a hole in a window.
After further investigation by deputy Shawn McKee, they determined the projectile appeared go have been fired from a pellet gun.
Wooten estimated damage to the double-pane window at $250.
n Christopher A Towers, 22, was arrested and charged by deputy Chad Nave after Nave reportedly discovered Towers in possession of suspected marijuana.
According to his affidavit, Nave performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Towers was driving.
Nave noticed an “unusual bulge” in Towers’ pants.
After searching his person, “a large bag of suspected marijuana was found inside his pants leg,” according to Nave.
Nave noted in his report the bag of suspected marijuana weighed 1.1 ounces.
Towers was charged with violation of the light law and felony possession of Schedule VI narcotics.
