Wilma Bernice Swallows, 78, a resident of Cleveland, passed from death into life Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at her home with family by her side.

She was the daughter of the late Annie West Hensley and Ernest Hensley. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Roscoe Ben Hensley; four sisters: Ida Mae Hensley, Edith Brown, Mildred Johnson and Grace Moody; and one special little granddaughter, Mandy Woods.

She was a member of Mount Olive Ministries.

Survivors include her children’s father, Clyde Swallows; her children: Mary Brewer, Kenneth “Bud” Swallows, John Swallows, Patricia Woods and Joey Swallows; grandchildren: Jeremy Swallows, Sharon Brewer Tyboroski, Jason Swallows, Amy Swallows Calhoun, Joshua Woods, Bethany Swallows and Laurel Swallows, all of Cleveland; great-grandchildren: Jessica Swallows, Justin Calhoun, Makinsey Swallows and Claire Olivia Swallows; sisters: Rosella Hensley Croft and Dorothy Hensley Buckner, both of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today, Jan. 18, 2011, from the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Gary Sears officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Olive Cemetery with Justin Calhoun, Tim Hughes, Gary Hughes, Phil Woods, Kenneth Swallows and Joey Swallows serving as pallbearers. Donnie Hughes will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 this evening at the funeral home.
