He was preceded in death by his son, Justin Massengale.
Survivors include his parents, John and Judy; and brother, Marty.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at Hopewell Baptist Church.
The visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church with a dove release following the service. The Rev. Burnham will be conducting the service.
