She was born in Elmira, N.Y., on July 18, 1961.
She owned and operated an adorable pet grooming business and also worked for Keith Street Animal Clinic for the past 28 years. She was an avid animal lover.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Thornton; and grandson, Hunter Roberts.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Roberts; grandson, Mason Roberts, both of Cleveland; mother, Joyce Thornton of Tennessee; brothers: Robert Knapik of San Diego, Calif.,Dana Thornton of Etowah and Billy Thornton of Clearwater, Fla.; and best friend and sister-in-life, Mary Gates.
A memorial service will be conducted at noon Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Patrick Wooden officiating.
