Dwayne Pruitt, with more than 23 years in the auto industry, has joined the staff at Don Ledford Automotive Center in Cleveland.

Pruitt joins as the new sales manager for the firm, bringing more than two decades of General Motors to Don Ledford Automotive Center, this area’s Buick, GMC, Cadillac dealer.

Debbie Ledford Melton, general manager and partner, said “We are pleased to welcome Dwayne to our staff. He joins a group of professionals, many of them have been with us over twenty years.”

Pruitt is a graduate of Tennessee Temple University, holding a business administration degree with emphasis on marketing and management. He has been in the auto industry for 23 years and 20 of those were with General Motors affiliates. The majority of his experience was with Newton Chevrolet in Chattanooga where he worked from 1991 to 2008.

Melton said Pruitt, his wife, Laurie, daughter, Lauren, and son, Darrell, are great additions to our Don Ledford Automotive Center “family.”

“We have just undergone one of the most eventful years of our some 30 years in the business here in Cleveland. We were able to retrieve the GM franchise after it underwent a nationwide revamping last year. We worked hard to assure that Cleveland continued to have the GM presence in this city, which is one of the fastest job growth cities in the mid-South,” Melton said.

In addition to the Buick, GMC and Cadillac lines, the firm maintains a full service department of GM experts who can service any make or model vehicle.

And the used car division features affordable vehicles to fit any budget.

Don Ledford Automotive Center is located at 4595 North Lee Highway and the showroom and lot has undergone a renovation in the past few months with more on the way “ to accommodate our growing business and anticipated growth in the future,” Melton said.

Pruitt leads a team of sales professionals who are each trained in the unique aspects of the brands.

The new sales manager also said the Cadillac continues to offer America’s most luxurious vehicle with the new luxury SRX crossover, the CTS family and the ever popular Cadillac Escalade.
