The Benton Elementary School Junior Beta Club recently traveled to Nashville to attend the Junior Beta Club State Convention at the Opryland Hotel. There were 23 local members in attendance. The BES Beta Club is sponsored by Carmen Ray and France Bramlett. BES Beta Club participated in a variety of competitions while in Nashville. This was the group’s first experience at a state convention. There were several adult chaperones who accompanied the group. The trip was made possible by donations from Volunteer Electric Cooperative, BES PTO, Benton Shooters Supply, Polk County Road Dept., Davis Auto, First Bank of Tennessee, the Drug Store, Ledford Construction and Burgess Feed and Hardware.
