ASPHALT DOWN ON DALTON PIKE — An initial coat of asphalt has been placed on the new Dalton Pike where cuts through the city of Cleveland’s municipal golf course at Cherokee Springs will be. A red pickup truck drives along the old Dalton Pike, with the new driving surface located some 20 feet above the vehicle. The tunnel (one of two) is for golf carts to travel from one side of the golf course to the other. Work on the tunnels is only half finished. The par-5 11th hole is located just beyond the first stand of trees in the background across Dalton Pike, while the new par-5 17th green is located to the right, just across the roadway.
