Margaret Ann Smith, 66, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011, in a Chattanooga hospital.

She was born June 27, 1944, to the late Henry and Bonnie Rogers Shamblin.

She was a graduate of Charleston High School, class of 1962. She was a Christian of the Baptist faith. She was a wonderful mother and loving wife.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Bill Shamblin, David Shamblin and Houston Shamblin.

Survivors include her husband, Fred L. Smith of Cleveland; son, Gregory Smith; brothers: Gene Shamblin of Cleveland, Junior Shamblin and Kenneth Shamblin, both of Charleston; sister, Edna Wade of Cleveland; and brother-in-law, Luther Smith.

The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2011, at Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Hicks and the Rev. Johnny Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Jerry Venable, Zane Harris, Bo Harris, Harland Waters, Robert Shipman, and James Clark serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
