Justin Presley reportedly suffered head injuries when he was attacked, according to Lt. Robert Harbison of Cleveland Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.
Officer Bobby Ruth responded to the Kangaroo Mart located on Veteran’s Parkway and 25th Street late Thursday after Presley’s dog apparently attacked two men who retaliated, according to a report filed by Ruth.
Presley was flown via LifeForce helicopter to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment. Detective Matt Jenkins is in charge of the investigation.
n Bradley County detectives have a suspect in mind regarding the theft of a canine.
A report filed Sunday evening by deputy Earl Pike of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office indicated a homeowner on Frontage Road contacted authorities after she discovered her basement door open and the dog missing.
According to his report, Pike spoke with Angela Vetter-Lopez who said she heard her one of her dogs bark. Vetter-Lopez said she looked out a window and saw a man walking to a pickup truck, then went to her basement and found a pit-bull missing.
The dog weigh approximately 105 pounds.
According to the report, the canine was valued at $250.
n Tennessee Highway Patrol will be holding Sobriety Checkpoints in Bradley County on Saint Patrick’s Day. The checkpoints will be set up in a variety of locations within the county. All scheduled checkpoints are contingent upon weather conditions and manpower availability.
