He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Ford Motor Co.
He spent his retired time enjoying riding his motorcycle. He was of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Dorothy Gushrowski Hunt; sisters: Priscilla Foldenauer and Judy Wright; and brother, Robert A. Hunt.
Survivors include his daughter, Evette Orlando and son-in-law, Ryan Vieau, of Howell, Mich.; grandchildren: Mitchell and Olivia Orlando; sister, Paulette Kendrick and husband, Gary, of White Lake, Mich.; brother, Darrin Hunt and wife, Mona, of Ocoee; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. today, March 20, 2011, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Parm officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Herman Cemetery with full military honors.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the service.
