Revolution is a highly competitive show choir that serves as an ambassador for Lake Forest Middle School and the Cleveland community. Beginning with a week long summer camp, this ensemble prepares a 20 minute show for competition in February. During the December holiday season, Revolution prepares a holiday show and travels to many community venues to share the Christmas spirit through song and dance. This year Revolution had an awesome competition season! They came in first place at the Diamond Classic in Albertville, Ala., where they also received Best Choreography, Best Vocals, and Best Overall Effect. The Diamond Classic hosted twelve middle schools this year in their competition. At their second, Southern Showcase, in Opelika, Ala. they received First Runner-up. The theme to their competition was “Pray.”

The judges really liked the show and made comments like, “Your show has really inspired me,” and, “Great job thanks for thinking out side of the box!”

Now that competition season is over, the ensemble prepares a set of gospel music to perform for area churches in April. This year Revolution will perform at Samples Memorial Baptist Church on Sunday evening, April 3. On April 10, they will perform for the evening service at Philippi Baptist Church. They will end their gospel performances at Clinging Ridge Baptist Church on April 17 on Sunday evening.

Revolution will also be having their spring concert on April 4, in the Lake Forest Auditorium, where they will perform their competition set as well as their gospel set. They end the year with various community performances and a spring trip to Orlando, Fla. and Disney World where they do a final performance competition. Revolution also participates in Lake Forest's fall, holiday and spring concerts.
