She was a member of Southview Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener, quilter, camper and loved singing in church.
She was the daughter of the late Clifford and Rosa Mae Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Alfred L. Standridge; grandson, David Leonard; brothers: J.D., L.T., Colverd (C.E.) Davis; and sister, Jewell Taylor.
She is survived by her children: Wendell Wayne Standridge, Regina L. Pearson and husband, James Pearson, Quintus Standridge and wife, Cathy Standridge; brother, Earnest “Guy” Davis; grandchildren: Kelly Pearson, Amy Leonard, Dewayne Woods, Donna and husband, Dale Lawhorne, Kit and wife, Myria Peek; great-grandchildren: Hannah and Caleb Pearson, Ivy and Davon Leonard, Chelsea Spivey, Crimson Quinn and Piper Peek; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011, in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with Tommy Jenkins and Dale Lawhorne officiating.
Interment will follow in Brock Cemetery in Polk County.
Kenneth Bell, Steven Bell, Ralph Trent, Tommy Bunch, Jim Gibson and Gary Goins will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
