Dora Lawson Morgan Ayers, 91, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday evening, March 23, 2011, in a local health care facility.

She was the daughter of the late Betty Jane Pearce Lawson and John Howard Lawson. She was preceded in death by her husbands: the Rev. Woodrow Morgan and the Rev. George Ayers; sister, Delia Lawson Lintner; and brother, Albert P. Lawson.

In her younger years, she enjoyed working with horses. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens and was known for her sense of humor. She was a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include her son, Rex W. Morgan and his wife, Lisa, of Cleveland; grandsons: Tech Sgt. Joshua Murray and his wife, Heather, stationed in the U.S. Air Force in Surprise, Ariz., and Cody Easley of Cleveland; great-grandchildren: Peyton Murray, Isabelle Murray, Jacqueline Murray, Nicholas Orlando Murray and Madeline Murray, all of Surprise; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. David Tuten officiating.

Interment will follow in the Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

A dove release will conclude the services.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
