Kris Hall earned his first Southern States Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week award Monday. Hall was honored for his outstanding performance in three games last week for the Flames baseball team.
A sophomore from Strongsville, Ohio, Hall earned a save in the first game of a doubleheader against Milligan College Tuesday striking out all three batters he faced to preserve a 2-1 win for the Flames.
Following the Milligan performance, Hall worked two-thirds of an inning in game one of the weekend series with Shorter University, earning another save while preserving another one-run win, 4-3.
Saturday, Hall once again shut the door on the Hawks. This time he earned the win with two innings of shutout baseball. The win helped finish a three-game sweep over the visiting Shorter club and moved Hall to 4-0 on the season with a 2.45 ERA and four saves.
All totaled for the week, Hall pitched 3 2/3 innings allowing no runs on just two hits while striking out seven and walking none.
The Lee baseball team hosts former rival Tennessee Wesleyan College Wednesday at Olympic Field at 6 p.m. This coming weekend should provide outstanding baseball as the second-ranked Flames travel to Mt. Vernon, Ga., to take on fifth-ranked Brewton-Parker College for a crucial three-game conference series.
