Mary Carter Kile, 85, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 4, 2011.

She was the daughter of the late Ollie Hawkins Phillips and Lee Andrew Phillips. She was also preceded in death by her husbands: Noah Calvin Carter and Lester Kile; son, Anthony Carter; and brother, Clarence Donald Phillips.

She was a member of Waterville Baptist Church for 50 years and retired from Cook Manufacturing.

Survivors include her daughter, Diana Kile Chapman of Beeville, Texas; grandchildren: Christopher Carter and Crystal Biving, both of Greenback; sister, Virginia Greene of Cleveland; and niece, Carlene Redmond of Cleveland.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011, at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Joe Brooks officiating.

Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Frank Reece, Ernie Jackson, Ron Chastain, Charlie Howard, Len Millians and Larry Mantooth.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
