Bobby Towne, who had a great pitching performance in a win over Cumberland County on Tuesday, came back with a great performance at the plate Wednesday. Towne had three hits in four trips to the plate for two RBIs.
Dustin Stowers and Chris Caffrey had doubles in Walker Valley’s seven-hit attack.
Brian Visconti had the big blow for McCallie with a home run and two RBIs in as the Tornado improved to 4-7-1 on the season.
Sam Rising was the winning pitcher for McCallie, with Daniel Stone getting a save. Caleb Longley pitched well for Walker Valley, allowing only six hits to the home team.
McCallie took the lead in the bottom of the second inning by putting three runs on the scoreboard. The Mustangs rallied in the top of the third with a run, then tied the score at 3-3 in the top of the fifth with a two-spot. McCallie bounced back with single runs in the fifth and sixth for the victory.
