The banquet will be honoring Ocoee Region High School seniors (FCA Athletes of the Year).
The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Cleveland First Baptist Church’s new complex off Stuart Road.
Price played wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills (1999-2002), Atlanta Falcons (2203-04), Dallas Cowboys (2005) and the Buffalo Bills (2006-07).
While at the University of Tennessee, Price was “notorious for one-handed catches,” according to Robert Green, Ocoee Region area director. He helped seal the SEC championship game for UT in 1998 by pulling down an amazing catch in the end zone against Auburn.
Price enjoyed his greatest success as the secondary receiver for the Bills. In 2002, he caught 94 passes for 1,252 yards and nine touchdowns. After the season, Buffalo used the franchise tag to ensure Price would be unable to sign elsewhere without the Bills receiving two first round draft picks.
After Price was given permission to seek a trade, Atlanta gave up a first round pick in the 2003 draft for Price.
In 2005, he signed a one-year deal with Dallas to be the third receiver and punt returner.
He ended his career in 2007 with Buffalo.
Price now resides in Atlanta with his family.
