SBDC offers intro to Quickbooks Workshop

Cleveland State Community College’s Small Business Development Center is presenting a Basic QuickBooks Training Workshop on Tuesday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 136 of the Technology Building on CSCC’s campus.

The course will be taught by Elizabeth R. Tribble, certified public accountant and QuickBooks certified proadvisor. Tribble has 13 years of public accounting experience and has owned a small business for 12 years.

Participants will learn how to properly set up and run QuickBooks to fit their business needs. Topics include accounting basics (define and understand terms such as debits, credits, assets, liabilities, equity, income statement, balance sheet); set up of business on Quickbooks (develop chart of accounts, bank accounts, etc.); working with bank accounts (write checks, record deposits, reconcile); recording sales and receiving payments; entering and paying vendor bills.

This is a fee-based course. The cost is $75 per attendee and includes the use of a laptop with QuickBooks preloaded. Prepayment and registration is required.
