He was a member of Woodland Acres Baptist Church in Calhoun. He was a retired diesel mechanic with Hertz-Penske with 25 years of service.
He was the son of the late Samuel and Lillie Womac.
He is survived by his wife Carol Womac of Georgetown; five children: Janice King of Calhoun, Greg Womac of Cleveland, Jessica “Niecy” Stanley of Athens, Marc Womac and Brittany Ledford. both of Cleveland; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six brothers: Clifford Womac of Charleston, Taylor Womac of Charleston, James Womac of Cleveland, Jerry Womac of Cleveland, Lon Womac of Athens and Carl Womac of Cleveland; and three sisters: Roberta Powell of Riceville, Linda Jones and Joan Saunders. both of Cleveland.
The funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Leamon and the Rev. Ray Cheatham officiating.
Interment followed in Womac Cemetery in McMinn County. Ronnie Ledford, Buddy Harding, Travis Womac, Danny Womac, Trey Howard, Tracy Powell, Clifford Womac, Jr. and Clint Stanley will serve as pallbearers.
