A native of Loudon, she was a longtime resident of Athens, lived in Ooltewah for seven years and had lived near Ann Arbor, Mich., for six years, before moving back to Athens.
She was a daughter of the late James K. and Helen Green Mills. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Stanley and Lora Mills and Earl and Mary Kate Green.
She was a member of Etowah Church of God and a longtime member of Woodward Avenue Church of God.
The world is a better place because of her life. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Don Reynolds of Athens; two daughters and sons-in-law: Shannon and Justin Smith of Birchwood and Ashley and Justin Taylor of Cleveland; grandson, William Smith; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Doug and Vickie Mills and Gary Mills, all of Lenoir City; six brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law: Glenn and Carol Reynolds of Kingston, Arlin and Lois Reynolds of Knoxville, Vearl and Janie Reynolds of Athens, Dale and Debbie Reynolds of Ooltewah, Randy and Twila Reynolds of Athens, Boyd and Jan Reynolds of Athens; and several nieces, nephews and close friends.
The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2011, at Woodward Avenue Church of God in Athens with the Rev. Wayne Fritts, Pastor Randy VanHoose, Dr. Chris Thomas, and Rev. Ronnie Davis officiating.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011, in Mount Harmony Cemetery of Niota.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.
