Mary Kimsey, 81, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, in a local health care facility.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Kimsey; parents, Frank and Mary Clement Lawson; stepfather, Millard Ratcliff; brothers: Ralph Lawson and Tommy Junior Lawson; and sister, Bonnie Ruth Branam.

Survivors include two sons: Buddy Kimsey and wife, Sheila, of Charleston and James Thomas Kimsey Jr. and wife, Vicky, of Cleveland; sisters: Geraldine Helton of Toledo, Ohio, and Widdie Morris and husband, Jerry, of Cleveland; six grandchildren: Mandy Scoggins and Mike; Catherine Turner and Brad; Jonathan Kimsey, Kristen Nelson and Anthony; Kevin Buttrey, and James Thomas Kimsey III; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 , 2011, at Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Caffrey officiating.

Interment will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery in Turtletown, with Kevin Buttrey, Tommy Kimsey III, Jonathan Kimsey, Mike Scoggins, Brad Turner, Ronnie Prater, and Anthony Nelson serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
