MainStreet Cleveland’s “Brown Bag Lunch” concert series will continue Thursday and a local school rock band will provide entertainment to those who visit First Street Square.

Each Thursday in April, from noon to 1 p.m., the square will be filled with music, business people and those who just want to get away for something different at lunchtime.

First Street Square is located at the corner of Parker and First streets.

“Quadrant D” will perform rock music on the First Street Park stage.

Quadrant D, formed through Bradley Central High School’s Rockband class, is under the direction of Gwen Shroyer with Broadcast Media and Kris Ware with Fine Arts.

“During the first two months of the semester, the students recorded a CD of original songs. The complete recording process has taken place in the school recording studio and was handled by the tech students. They will also record a live multi-camera DVD of the performances,” said MainStreet Cleveland Executive Director Sharon Marr.

The students have created a stage show to perform during April and May.

More information about the group is online at www.bchsrockband.com.

“The free Brown Bag concert series will continue April 21, with the musical duo Olam, and concludes on April 28, with the Cleveland Community Stage band,” Marr said.

“We had a great start last week with the group Vocal Rhapsody from Cleveland State and look forward to hearing these talented high school students this week. Everyone is encouraged to come out and enjoy the music and great weather.”

Other events coming to downtown include:
