He was born on May 4, 1934, in Polk County, to the late Johnny Martin and Hattie Lois Walden Deal.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011, from the Akins chapel of Akins Funeral Home in Copperhill with the Rev. Charles Moore and the Rev. Scotty Baker officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mount Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Copperhill.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
