Richard Lee “Rick” Foster, 53, went home to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 20, 2011.
He was a resident of Harrison, where he was employed at Foster’s General Store for many years and was currently employed as a carrier for the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
He was a member of Lighthouse United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed attending and loved his fellow members dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Louise Foster; and one infant sister.
Survivors include his wife whom he dearly loved, Joyce Foster, of Harrison; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Dallas Norman of Cleveland; brother, Kenny Foster, of Ringgold, Ga., brother-in-law and his wife, Tommy, and Genean Wright, of Cleveland; and many nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 7414 Old Lee Highway, with the Rev. Richard Richter officiating.
Honorary pallbearers include Harold Lewis, Tom Carroll, Hayes Dickson, Tommy Wright, Steve Wright and Calvin Lindsey.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
