The Copper Basin Horse Judging

The Copper Basin Horse Judging team competed in the MTSU Youth Horse judging Competition in March in Murfreesboro. As a team it placed first in the Junior Performance division and third overall in the Junior Division. Whitney Deal (a fourth-grader) placed first with the highest individual score in judging performance classes. Skyler Nipper (a second-grader) placed second in individual performance, fifth in individual conformation, and was awarded the second highest overall junior individual honors. The team also competed in the Tennessee 4H Eastern Regional Horse Judging Competition, hosted by Roane State in Harriman this past month. The junior team placed fifth. Haley Phillips (a fifth-grader) received third-place overall individual junior. The team includes, standing from left, Riley Smith, Whitney Deal, Emily Dye, Nichaelia Rhodes, Stacia Jory, Kristen Ward, Kristen Jack, Elizabeth Allen, Haley Phillips, Skyler Nipper, Hannah Jack and Megan Worley.
