Doyle Eugene Vines Sr., 73, of Athens passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011, in an area health care facility.
He was a longtime dairy farmer and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his loving companion of 28 years, Myrtle Oaks and siblings: Pauline Lovin, Paul Vines and Hoyt Vines.
Survivors include his children: Candaice (Brian) Grisham; Loretta Milam; Sarah Marshall and Doyle Vines Jr.; stepchildren: Angie (Alan) Rominger, Beverly (Jimmy Joe) Greene, Maxine Handy and Jimmy Oaks; sisters: Brenda Williams and Betty Stanley; and 21 grandchildren.
The service will be private for the immediate family.
Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Soddy-Daisy is in charge of arrangements.
