She was of the Baptist faith. She was retired from Bradley Memorial Hospital after 21 years service in the nursing field.
She enjoyed fishing with her good friend, George Albritton. She was always taking care of family members and friends that were sick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Edward and Ruby Green Lawson; and brother, Gary Edward Lawson.
Survivors include her brother, Jerry Lawson of Cleveland; sisters: Nancy Lawson and Patty Brantley, both of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Lawson officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
