She was a native of Cleveland and attended Bradley High School.
She married James W. Arrowood, who was in the Air Force, and served as a military wife for 25 years. She was a longtime employee of Norfleet (One Hour) Cleaners.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Arrowood; parents, Richard Alexander “Con” Geren and Thelma Lyle Geren; and sister, Betty Christina Geren Goode.
Survivors include two sons: Patrick Arrowood (Betsy) and Gary Arrowood, all of Cleveland; two daughters: Kimberly Hendrickson (CJ) of Vincent, Ohio, and Stephanie Feazell (Wayne) of Swansboro, N.C.; one sister, Josephine Geren Young of Winchester, Va.; five grandchildren: Heather, Emily, Andrew, James, and Maggie; five great-grandchildren: Alexis, Kora, Jack, Grace, and Isaiah; several nieces and cousins; and two “granddoggies”: Spike and Taddy.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today, May 2, 2011, at Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Beatty officiating.
Interment will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 this evening at the funeral home prior to the service.
