Rhonda Smith Casteel, 33, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the family residence.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Evelyn Haney; and her maternal great-grandmother, Gladys Harris.

She was a graduate of Bradley Central High School. She was employed at Zaxby’s on Treasury Drive in Cleveland.

She enjoyed dirt track racing and going to the skate park. She loved being a mother to her two boys.

She was a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons: Tyler Smith and Austin Casteel; mother and father, Sadie and Billy Smith; paternal grandparents, Slyvila Smith and John W. Smith; and brother, Billy Ray Smith of Cleveland; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011, from the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Ray Higgins officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Kevin Seal, Andy Bowlin, Jim Ledford, Jason Watson, George Jackson and Cody Powers serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Crumley.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
