Rahn E. Purdy, 56, of Cleveland, died Saturday, May 7, 2011.

He served in the U.S. Army and was employed with Duracell. He was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Purdy, of Cleveland; mother, Carmel Purdy of Sunbright; son, Adam Terry of Rocky Face, Ga.; daughter, Amanda Purdy Silvers of Hollywood, Fla.; stepchildren: Jennifer Carr of Ocoee, and Bradley Zanoska of Cleveland; five grandchildren; sisters: Jill Jarnigan of Sunbright, and Diane Brewer of Elizabethton.

A memorial services will be held at 7 this evening, May 10, 2011, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Bryant and John Simpson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 this evening prior to the service at the funeral home.
