After the Pledge of Allegiance, Jane Smith gave the devotion, titled “Start Where You Stand.”
Roll call was answered by each member explaining a garden vegetable or herb they could not do without.
The minutes and treasurer’s report were given and approved.
Refreshments were planned for the Council meeting and CulturalArts/Fashion Revue on July 12 at the Agricultural Extension building at 1 p.m.
Cross presented the program titled “Bed Bugs.” There is a resurgence of the problem and the bugs can transfer disease. When staying in a hotel, do not put luggage on the floor; check folds along mattress bindings and folds in draperies.
The meeting was closed with a reading by Cross titled “The Value of One Member.”
